Fried Blueberry Pies Crust: 3 c. flour 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. baking powder Ice water (to make dough work like pie dough) Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cut shortening into mixture. Add ice water a little at a time until dough holds together. Divide dough into 2 equal parts. Roll out and cut in circles to desired size. Moisten the edge of the circle with ice water and put 2 tablespoons blueberry pie filling in center. Fold over and seal edges. Fry in hot shortening until brown, turning only once. Makes approximately 20.
